There is something about seeing your little ones meet Mickey and Minnie for the first time that makes you act like a kid again.
It's those famous cartoon characters we have grow to love that are walking, some talking and oh so huggable, right in front
of our eyes that makes us so giddy.
This past week we went on a little family vacation to Disneyland. I haven’t been since I was FIVE. Yes, yes I know… Crazy!
It was about time! So this leads me into my next, Love It or Leave It installment: Disneyland
LOVE IT
The Disney music that play as you enter the park
Seeing Mickey and Minnie for the first time when you come around the bend into the plaza
Dinner at the Blue Bayou
All the fun hidden facts in the park: the skull on the headboard in the Pirates of the Caribbean is authentic, Fantasmic lasts
about 22 minutes and costs $30,000 to produce, Jingles was Mrs. Disney’s horse on the Carousel,
there is an Eeyore parking sign in Indiana Jones in the movie room
Super Favorite Rides: Space Mountain, Small World, The Tiki Room, Pirates of the Caribbean,
Hollywood Tower of Terror, Midway Madness and California Screamin
Princess Dinner at Ariel's Grotto (you can meet all the Princesses at one time, as you eat)
A Pineapple Spear
LEAVE IT
The mobs of people that show up on Friday night ;0)
Matterhorn, come on Disneyland it really needs a face lift
Sore feet (next time I think I'll wear a pedometer, I'm really interested in seeing how far we walk)
Even after four days of Disney fun, it was hard to go home. Hope to be back soon!
A post is always better with a picture, so here is a sneak peek of next week's entry.
Happy 2010! Hope you had a spectacular holiday with your friends and family. I am definitely looking forward to this new year and all the fabulous photography to be had. This month keep checking my blog and site because we will be making slight changes throughout January.
I'm so excited about the mini face lift and would love to hear your feedback.
Here is a little taste of this week's blog post...
Wow, what a year this has been! I "pinch" myself frequently just to make sure I'm not dreaming up this fabulous career.
To all my clients who are now friends and to my family, thank you for blessing me with knowing you, befriending you,
hanging with you and capturing some awesome and amazing memories with you. Here's to another epic year in 2010.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! God bless.
We knew it had snowed over night…you could feel it. Jumping up, Kurt, Maddie and I peered through the blinds to see the glorious white wonderland outside. It was six inches of amazing white powder to be exact. The phone rang and Maddie’s teacher said, "Snow Day!" That’s all we needed to hear. We bounded down the stairs in excitement, throwing on whatever “snow clothes” we could find and had a super fun snow day out front with the rest of the neighborhood.
Jacob's first experience with snow...

We later learned that it had been over 120 years since it had snowed this much at our elevation. 120 years! We're making history!
